Nefeli Facial Gua Sha
New* In 2022 I decided to train under Dr. Ping Zhang, the creator of the Nefeli Gua Sha Facial. Dr. Ping Zhang is an expert in healthy aging, a Tradtional Chinese Medicine practitioner, a renowned acupuncturist, certified herbalist and massage therapist with more than 20 years of clinical experience specializing in facial rejuvenation & TCM. She is the inventor of facial gua sha directed towards correcting & preventing signs of premature aging, namely the Nefeli Gua Sha Facial, which has largely inspired the gua sha trend in the beauty industry. It entails performing a restoring function to awaken the skin's own healing ability to regenerate, firm and lift the whole face. It activates the inner vitality of the face on multiple levels: the facial fascia, the facial muscle, the different skin levels - all will be stimulated to create the youthful appearance of facial counters, smooth out fine lines & wrinkles and lift sagging from neck and jaw line. Dr. Zhang's technique is complex, as it activates the TCM acupuncture points & more without the use of needles. The health benefits include lymphatic support, detoxing the meridian channel system, restoring the normal Qi & blood flow of the facial area. It is not just a skin care treatment, but an energy treatment to promote health & wellness from within. The technique is performed with customized facial oils & herbal infusion, allowing the nutrients and healing power of the ingredients to be delivered on a deep level.
Additional modalities may be used alongside your facial gua sha treatment depending on your needs such as: cupping, Dien Chan (a form of facial reflexology) and acupressure.

The lymph system is a natural cleansing & watering system in your body, also known as a 'elixir of life'. About 30% of your body's lymph is located in your neck and head, and one of the greatest concentrations of lymph is located in the skin. If there is stagnation in the lymphatic system, the body will be unable to cleanse itself (detox) properly, which has a profound effect on the skin, immune system, and overall wellness. Gua Sha helps support the lymphatic system's main function of keeping things 'flowing' and helps clear stagnation.
Lift, Tone, Firm & Smooth
Facial Gua Sha releases tension in your facial muscles, supports healthy nervous system function by releasing expression in your face, tones and lifts the facial muscles, reduces the appearance of premature signs of aging, and defines your natural facial contours. It stimulates blood flow to the face to promote a healthy natural glow.
Activation of Acupuncture & Reflexology Points
The face is a map to all of our other organs and each organ correlates to a different energy system (also known as our 'meridians'). In TCM, this knowledge has been utilized to promote health & vitality for thousands of years. The Nefeli Facial Gua Sha board and protocols were specifically created by a clinical TCM practitioner to stimulate different points around the face that correlate to specific organ systems & energy systems so that stagnant energy can be released which is essential to overall wellness.
